Rita Ellithorpe MDDoctor Ellithorpe received her medical degree in 1982 from The Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, IL. She then completed her residency in Family Practice at Womack Army Hospital, Fort Bragg, NC in 1983 and relocated to Fort Knox, KY where she served as an emergency room staff physician, general medical officer and flight surgeon as Chief of the Aviation Clinic from 1983-1990. Dr. Ellithorpe received a second doctorate in Integrative Medicine from the Capitol University of Integrative Medicine in Washington, D.C.

With a determined commitment to her patients’ nutritional road to health, she regularly reviews treatment modalities and documents the results and shares the documented research of successful interventions in peer-reviewed journals to help further educate her colleagues on the benefits of certain treatment modalities. Dr. Ellithorpe provides a practice rooted in a functional approach, which integrates the best of standard, western medicine with effective, natural therapies.
